Hey everyone! As I am sure you all have noticed...I'm slacking. I haven't done photography for quite some time now, because honestly? I just haven't had time! It's quite unfortunate really, because I love it so, but I have good news. I think it's about time to start it back up. I should have a little extra time now, so I'm excited to be able to do some shooting again. Prices are still right on the side there. For a two hour shoot you pay $125 up front and that covers the shoot + a CD with up to 60 full resolution, edited pictures. For a one hour shoot you pay $75 and get the shoot + a CD with up to 40 full resolution, edited pictures.

I'm not sure what else to tell you. Basically the point is...Let's take some pictures, people!

For those of you just checking in to see if you're interested in what I do. I wanted you to be easily able to judge my "style". You should know up front, I quite enjoy NOT holding the camera straight. Trust me, you'll love the angles too once I'm done with them.

I wanted to post some recent head shots I did for this cool kid from California! He was so chill in front of the camera, made my job pretty dang easy.

Hey Bloggers! Long time no talk to.

So a recent client actually called me out on not posting to my blog anymore. Unfortunately, I don't have a very good excuse...in fact, I don't have an excuse at all! I've been slacking big time, and to Kylie and all you other preview-less clients I've had in these, my lazy days, I do apologize.

Please accept this super mini preview as a peace offering and show a little faith. I promise to update more often!

It's really a shame I'm such a horrible blog-keeper as of late because this family was truly, a BLAST to shoot. If they seem like their laughing in every picture, that would be because they were! I had a hard time even asking them to pause for a picture because it was so obvious that the laughing was just so THEM. Loved getting to capture their joy on camera. Hope you guys are happy with some of your shots!

One more thing I was craaazzyy about on this shoot was how obviously they all understood the power of love, and it was even more obvious who their examples were. Mom and Dad were so fully happy just being together. It was QUITE inspiring.

Thank you guys so much for letting me get to know your family! Really, you were great. It was an honor.

This is Maggie. She and Randy are the neatest soon-to-be-parents around! They were so much fun to hang out with and the camera just loved them.

Super mini-session with this little family. They were so good about letting me shoot them in 105 degree weather! Maybe we'll get a lucky cold spurt and have to set up a "for-real-this-time" shoot. Meanwhile...The camera just loved em.

This [cute girl] has her own little baking business and she let me do a little "promo" shoot mini-session for her yesterday. They were so much fun! She's one of those girls who has that style and personality that you just have to love!

Levi and I were driving home from the post office the other day when we saw this stud on the side of the road.

Meet Michael.And oh yes, he definitely has THE look. He's going to be a senior in high school. I'm fairly certain I didn't have my look dialed in like this kid does by my senior year.

Anyways, needless to say, we just had to ask for a photoshoot.

He told me one time he forgot himself & his heart opened up like a door with a loose latch & he tried for days to put it all back in proper order but finally he gave up & left it all jumbled up there in a pile & loved everything equally.

I got my first pair of BKE jeans in 7th grade, wore them all that year then threw them to the back of the closet for a few years, when I got to High School pulled them out again and wore them every now and then after graduation fell in love with them all over again. They were that perfect worn out faded color. Had perfect holes all over the place. Then just a couple months ago they got one rip that was unfixable and deemed them un-wearable (which takes a LOT for me. :). So, I cut them up and made them wristbands and still wear them every chance I get.

I love that threshold you hit when you're getting ready for something your excited about. I love feeling like you're going somewhere and knowing that doing what you love is going to get you there. I love having my camera be my third limb, and knowing that every picture I take is a step closer. Closer to a life I want to live. I love living a life I love!

how was your day? It's a Thursday. Thursdays are not my favorite, to be honest with you. They don't have enough of a feel. I think we should get rid of them. Them, and Tuesdays. They're no-feel days. Why do we even need them? We should just have a week full of Sundays!

hello world, how's you?...and so it starts.

I'm Amalie. Amalie Maren, to be exact.
I suppose that doesn't really tell you much. Let me introduce myself.

I could eat Multigrain Cheerios three meals a day and be happy as a clam about it. When people ask me what my favorite color is I can never commit because I don't want to hurt any of the other colors feelings. My favorite place in the world is Seattle, WA and I'll be living there by the end of the year. I claim to be a true-ist when it comes to Going Green, but I leave the water on when I brush my teeth. I used to claim to be a Tomboy, but I'm really a girl at heart. My bucket list includes things like, "Go vegetarian for one month." and "Get a fake nose ring - wear it like it's real." because trying new things is one of my passions. Sometimes, a problematic one. I still claim to be blond, but my roots get darker every time I let it grow out. I think Gatorade tastes like watered-down kool-aid, and if you leave me alone in a room with a pen, I [without fail] will come out tattooed.

That's just the important stuff.
You should also know:
